The good thing about the electric guitar is that it doesn’t use a mic to reproduce a sound. When someone sings into a mic, the mic doesn’t pick up only the voice of the person who sings or the instrument that plays, but it is prone to pickup sounds from other sources too. No matter how sound proof a room is, the sound that is recorded with a microphone is not always the best. But when it comes to guitars, the viberations of the strings are picked up by electromagnetic pickups, and passed to amplifiers like outstanding VOX Valvetronix at Musicians friend through well sheilded cables, and you get to hear the exact same sound that is producted by the strings of the guitar reproduced on the speakers.
